Now is a critical moment for us to understand the student and worker power we build together on our campuses and globally, and how it must be intrinsically connected to fighting white supremacy -- otherwise it’s not labor justice. USAS’s commitment to anti-racism comes with a lot to learn and grow from over the 23 years of its existence. We need everyone to join this fight against the powerful, evil system that harms, exploits, and murders workers across the world while creating a future of justice, love, and liberation. We invite you all to join this year’s conference, where the programming will be focused around the interconnectedness of labor justice and Black liberation. Even though we cannot be together physically this year due to the pandemics, the conference will be packed full of exciting workshops and opportunities to connect with student organizers from across the country!

After a month of working through a difficult staff transition process, we are ready to move forward with building a stronger USAS. With the advice of students and alumni, staff have created a set of proposals addressing anti-Blackness, structure, and transparency within USAS. You can view these proposals here.

Now more than ever, USAS is in need of a strong group of dedicated leaders to guide our organization. If you are ready to put in the work to make this upcoming year in USAS our best year yet, please apply to run in the elections for the national student Coordinating Committee (CC). The CC is the elected governing body of USAS, and you can find more information and instructions on how to apply 求一个手机梯子. CC applications are due at 11:59pm EDT on Wednesday, July 22nd, and voting will begin on August 3rd.
